Meet the Team

Our employees’ first priority is to ensure your fur-baby has a positive grooming experience. We will work together as a team to make sure his/her stay is as comfortable and stress-free as possible and the grooming service is one that exceeds your expectations.

Your fur-baby’s comfort with the grooming team is paramount to a positive grooming experience.

If you are happy with your groomer’s work, we ask that you re-book future appointments with the same groomer. The bond between the groomer and your furry companion is real and consistenly working with the same groomer will give your pup a sense of comfort and as a result, they will be more relaxed and comfortable with the entire experience.

Beverly was born and raised in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

She has worked in corporate financing for most of her career. She completed her Bachelors Degree in 1996 at UCCB, majoring in accounting and finance. In 2003 Beverly took a position as a Controller for a Dartmouth-based demolition company and six years later, she was the controller for a demolition company. In 2015, she became a 50% partner and in 2020 became the sole shareholder. The company has now been in business for 15+ years and is highly respected as a leader in its industry.

Beverly’s retirement goal was to open a pet grooming spa, one with a vision that went beyond day-to-day pet grooming and in December 2023, Beverly purchased Adorable Dogs Grooming Spa. She has been working closely with her Salon Manager (the previous owner), streamlining processes in advance of the re-branding of Adorable Dogs to Posh Paws Fur Cause.

Her vision for Posh Paws Fur Cause is to provide our customers’ fur-babies with a stress-free and relaxing grooming experience. By creating a warm and welcoming spa-like environment, it is our hope that fur-babies of all shapes and sizes will enjoy their time with us.

In early summer 2024, Posh Paws Fur Cause will be opening a pet grooming spa located at 174 Trider Crescent, in Burnside, where we will be training dogs to be groomed. The company will also be developing an in-house training program and hiring women from marginalized communities, who may be interested in learning the grooming trade.

Along with its vision of training the next generation of groomers, the company is committed to local animal shelters, with a percentage of every groom going to financially supporting them. The company will also be offering free grooming services to pets in local shelters that are waiting for adoption. This will give our staff an opportunity to work with breeds of all shapes and sizes and to train these dogs to be groomed so that when they find their fur-ever homes, they will be accustomed to spending a “day at the spa.”

After living in Cow Bay, N.S. for 16 years, Beverly and her family, including their Golden Doodle Rowan (aka “Mr. Magoo”), have called the beautiful community of Hammonds Plains, N.S. their home since 2020.
